Learn how to fully utilise the many functions of Microsoft Excel for effective management

An intensive, hands-on 2-day course that demonstrates how managers and line staff can effectively utilise the capabilities of the MS-Excel program. It is a fact that most staff using excel have never been on a training course. Training has been “on the job” with the result that users have a rudimentary grasp of the capabilities of excel. It is also a fact that employee costs are the most significant expense in the income statement, and by improving productivity in this area this translates directly to improved “bottom line” results. This course has been developed to do exactly that, improve users knowledge, and your bottom line .

During the intensive 2-days, delegates will be introduced to the concepts of spreadsheets ,Excel spreadsheets, Workbooks, Spreadsheet terminology, and learn how t

* Navigate, select data, enter data and save data
* Use help
* Modify information - Move and copy data, fill cells, edit data, insert, delete (cells columns and rows), find and replace, name and find cells, spell check
* Perform Calculations - Basic formulas (+ - x / =), order of calculation (brackets, exponent, multiply, divide, add, subtract), functions (sum, average etc), copying formulas, referencing (absolute and relative)
* Format spreadsheet data - Fonts (size and type), colour and borders, column width and row height, merging cells, number formats (standard and customising), aligning within cells, autoformats & styles
* Use Workbooks - Worksheet tabs, repositioning workbooks, inserting/deleting workbooks, copy and paste
* Print - Titles, headers and footers, margins, page orientation, page breaks, setting and printing a range
* Customise layouts - Splitting worksheets, arranging worksheets, freeze/unfreezing rows and columns, hide/unhide
* Introduce more advanced concepts, giving an overview of formulas, lookup, If-statements, sorting, filtering, charts & templates

Please note that the prerequisite of this course is a working knowledge of Windows
